Hello weekend!
One of our team members is due for roll-off this Friday. Thus, the team decided to maximize the last few days by taking a "team road trip". We rented a car for a day (24 hours) to go around Cebu.
First stop: Lantaw Floating Restaurant
This is actually a detour as we originally intended to go to Lantaw at Busay (at the other end). However, we were less specific when we typed in our destination in Google Maps and were led to this floating restaurant instead.
Sharing with you the first stop's pics below. The first stop did not disappoint.
Ah, life and its detours...

The view from the floating restaurant.
We got there at around 5:45 pm. |
Just in time to see this beautiful sunset... |
For our orders, please click 'Read more'.
Here are our orders...
Pinakbet --- tasted as good as it looked |
Cordova express - the resto's mild version of the Bicol express
Buko slices and pepper bits submerged in coconut milk ("gata") |
Tuna belly - Just about right |
Lechon kawali - some form of lechon seems to be a must in every Cebuano meal |
Guys, dig in! |
Lovely backdrop as we feasted... |
More guests started filling in as dusk fell |
Got lovelier as darkness set in |
The torches were lighted and the reserved tables were prepared for more guests... |
The swirls of orange and dark violet against a deep blue |
Our dessert: bibingka a la mode |
A fitting way to cap the team dinner |
See you at the next stop :)
