The past seven days was an overwhelming show of Filipino love for our former President Corazon Aquino, more fondly remembered as "Tita Cory".

We wept, remembering EDSA I, our own families, our love for our own mothers and our country, and our simple Filipino values.

I'm inspired to be simple...

To appreciate life in its unadorned state...

To see people beyond Photoshop and pretty foundation creams...

To appreciate the moments bundled in each memory...

To choose humility...

And see God's will through it all.

Life is just simple...

We live and love
If we are passionate enough, we can leave a legacy...

A life well-lived is worth so much more than one clothed in material wealth...

Material things give only temporary bliss, fades away with time, and are lost in death...

But simple values are ageless and eternal -- transcending generations, from faith to faith.

May Tita Cory's life inspire us to relive these values, just as her death helped us remember our pride in being Filipinos.
