Strangers have been nice to me lately and I'm beginning to be more convinced that life can be wonderful.
My thanks to:
- the very attentive SM lady at the Fit sports brand section where I bought my first sunshine yellow shirt (I'm now thinking of enrolling at a Yoga class);
- the nice sales lady at Art Deco where I bought my foundation brush (the brush was really great as promised); she was accommodating and honest -- not snobbish or pretentious as most sales people are -- mainly interested in both your wallet and their quota (Hmm...How about enrolling in my long coveted makeup class at Basement Academy?);
- the really great servers at Bacolod Inasal (Ayala Center) who even took the initiative to give me my refill of tsokolate (when I forgot that it's actually refillable; it's been quite a while since I last ate there), and made sure I had my glass of water without me needing to prompt them;
- the understanding 7-11 lady who was kind enough to guide me through the coffee machine and allowed me to use my own tumbler (to help save Mother Earth, i.e., one less styro and coffee-collar paper wasted);
- the nice Sun Shop guy who facilitated the processing of my certification for the repair of my Samsung cellphone within the one-year warranty; the paperwork was all done even before my number was up (I'm soo lucky with warranties -- my refrigerator went through two really major tweaking within the warranty period);
- the really upbeat and skilled stylist at Jessi Mendez (my first time there) who gave me the haircut with the fringes just as I envisioned them (also the first time for me); he was attentive to my own concerns on my hairline and I trusted him in that instant.
There are so many things to be grateful for despite our currently dire circumstances.
I'm focusing on these more - amidst all the trying times. Life is never fair, but it is what you make it.
