I want to open my heart and show the world that part that says "Papa's girl".
Thank you Heavenly Father...
for putting me in all the circumstances that I have been through and on what I am in right now. They may not make sense at first but I trust You that everything is in accordance with Your will.
To my earthly Papa...
thank you for the 22 years that you've been the Papa who've seen me through the "letting gos" of Life. May I really learn this art well and may I make you proud always.
Thanks for everything --- the big and small things that make up my memories and which have prepared me for the BIG LEAGUE out there.
You may have tried to spoil me the best way you can, but I will mostly remember the chance of being able to take care of you in your last few years --- to watch CNN and basketball with you in quiet, sing boring songs as you listen (and maybe cringe), and make you proud in my own little ways.
You may have not been there to personally see my little triumphs but you were part of that secret driving force that inspired me to aim higher.
Thank you Papa for making me feel like I'm #1 even if I'm #10. I miss you in those moments of ups and downs when I needed you there to believe against all odds and cheer me on.
Wherever you are, I hope you are well and happy. I'll still make you proud and this little girl will carry on. I think I'm ready to make this on my own.
Thank you Heavenly Father for all the Papas, Daddys, Tatays, and fathers all over the world who've seen their sons and daughters through all the cycles of "letting go" and made them ready for the path which You have prepared for all of us. Happy Father's Day.
Love lots,
Gen
