Today is Day 2 and the last day of our team road trip.
Third stop: Taoist temple
General rule throughout the visit: Silence please |
Well-manicured gardens |
Bougainvilleas - My Mom will definitely say something when she sees these. |
No entrance fee: The breeze at this height was a welcome treat amidst the summer heat. A good place to meditate and reflect. |

The place remains well-maintained. There were a few ongoing renovations when we visited. It looked just as well-kept or even better as when I first visited this in the 1990s.
Random thoughts:
- You do not have to be Taoist to show respect for the religion. You would want others to respect your own religion or faith.
- A temple, just like a church, is a place of worship. Not a photo opportunity.
- Man (and woman) is God's temple for His Word. If consecration of one's self seems too mystic and hard to understand, why not try picturing how you would be (or pretend to be) when inside a physical church or temple? Will you keep it clean? Will it always be ready?
