Exploring art and hauling art supplies @ SG

One fine Saturday, I decided to brave the Singapore heat and walk around the 'art scene'.

I found The Chinese Calligraphy Society along Queen Street.

Please click 'Read more' for the rest of my weekend adventure.

I explored the Singapore Art Museum nearby.

I even got myself a 'TWIST' necklace as a souvenir from the museum shop (center). It's supposed to signify 'good luck' as when we cross our fingers hoping for a positive outcome ;)

Look, there's the Singapore Management University (SMU)!

I found this interesting bench along Queen Street between Food for Thought, the cafe and the Singapore Art Museum. Nice piece of work. I suppose since graffiti is not allowed in SG, that this is most probably private property.

The National Design Center (NDC) displayed some handmade and imported stuff --- bags, accessories, clothes, and scents, some from Paris --- when I visited. Unfortunately for me, they were kind of expensive.

There's the HUGE National Library which spans an entire block of the Middle and Northbridge Roads and Victoria Street.

Well, it's not exactly art scene in the traditional sense. I would have explored more if I had more time. But if I'd stay longer at Singapore, the locations above and the haul of calligraphy supplies below would be more than enough to keep me happy. You may think, how boring. I'm proudly boring like that, lol. To each his/her own. :):):) Ciao dears!!!!
