What brought me the most joy while in SG?

What made me extremely happy when I was in SG? You will find out in a bit.;)

Yes folks, I did the tourist-y stuff while in SG.

I had my picture taken at this rotating Universal Studios globe.

I rode the Sentosa train...

...to see the merlion...

Too many tourists trying to show proof that they've been to Sentosa, hahaha.
I decided not to join them.

I took a picture of the street bearing the name of my home country's capital...

I spent a fortune on having my laundry done. Yup, a fortune, enough to buy probably 4-5 dresses here in SG. Consolation: It was very clean considering the prompt one-day turnaround.

But what gave me the most joy while in SG?
Bliss...happinesss, in its purest form?
Shiok, in SG slang?

On my last day at SG, I found Jamal Kazura, hidden behind the mosque near Arab Street. It's a specialty store which sells lovely perfume vials and customized perfume. The perfume guy, who in my opinion looks like the prince of Persia (hahaha), customized my perfume and the mix happens to be hope + esteem :):):)
If you're a perfume lover like me, DO NOT miss this when you're in SG.

Finding it on my last day plus the whole "magical" experience make Jamal Kazura my most memorable discovery in SG.
I picked my perfume vial --- a clear one which turns into ROYGBIV colors when placed under light (the bottle at the start of this post). I explained my preferred scents (woodsy, floral not fruity, spicy, etc.) to the perfume expert who then gave me several bottles. Believe me, you'd want to leave this to the expert who can help narrow down your choices as smelling all those bottles of oil-based perfumes can be overwhelming and well...intoxicating. I picked two bottles labeled with Hope and Esteem. There are fancier names in there but coincidentally, I ended up with these 'pure' things;) I was asked if I wanted my mix mild or strong before this character straight out of an Arab tale (the perfume guy) proceeded to mix my scents in my perfume vial.

"The princess breathed in the good scents of hope and esteem and was then lulled to dream of lands filled with crystal vials and sweet-smelling attars." The end.

Post-script:
It was very hot in SG when I went there. Good thing that I brought my Elizabeth Arden EDP to keep me fresh. I also found a good deal (50% off) for a Lolita Lempicka EDP at Royal Perfumes along Northbridge Road. There goes my Jamal Kazura customized perfume in a box, ready for a special occasion; the nice perfume prince ;) also gave me and my senior, Rea free samples of the bestseller pre-mixed perfume. Just in case I return to a headache of backlogs, I bought Tiger Balm, the 'soft' version (also got one for Mama).

In conclusion, the surprise 'happy memory' for me is finding Jamal Kazura and having for the first time, a perfume customized for me. Yeah, that was shiok indeed!
